5. Brakes: The brakes are used to stop the movement of the driving shaft immediately after it is disconnected from the flywheel.
Working Principle :
The ram and bed are equipped with combination dies that allow the metal sheets to be shaped into particular forms. The rotation of a flywheel is powered by a motor. The spinning flywheel is connected to the crankshaft by a clutch. The crankshaft then connects the press ram’s upward and downward motions to the rotating action of the flywheel. A workpiece is fed to the die and the tool cycle is initiated. When the upper and lower dies press together on the stock material, a re-formed piece is created. Once the downstroke is done, the workplace which is formed is removed and replaced by a new form of the plate for doing the same process.
